Course Overview

Flag It Essentials is a practical cybersecurity awareness course designed for everyday business users. No technical knowledge is required.

Over approximately 30 minutes, participants will learn how to recognise common cyber threats, identify phishing emails, understand the importance of strong passwords and multi-factor authentication, and respond appropriately to suspicious activity.

The course focuses on real-world risks affecting modern organisations, including phishing attacks, social engineering, email fraud and ransomware. Rather than relying on technical jargon, the training uses practical examples and straightforward guidance to help staff make informed security decisions in their day-to-day work.

By the end of the course, participants will understand their role in protecting the organisation, recognise common warning signs of cyber attacks and know what steps to take when something does not look right.

The course concludes with a short assessment designed to reinforce key learning points and validate understanding. Participants who successfully complete the assessment will receive a course completion certificate.
